Mechack Jerome goes full 90 for Haiti -

Sporting Kansas City defender Mechack Jerome started and played the full 90 minutes for Haiti on Friday in a 4-1 loss against South Korea in an international friendly played at Sungeui Arena Park in Incheon.


Bayer Leverkusen forward Son Heung-Min opened the scoring for South Korea in the 21st minute before Haiti's Kervens Belfort (Le Mans) equalized in the 44th minute. Koo Ja-Cheol (VfL Wolfsburg), a halftime substitute, and Lee Keun-Ho each converted penalties in the opening 15 minutes of a second half which saw Haiti reduced to 10-men when Yves Desmarets was shown red. Son Heung-Min added his second of the game in the 72nd minute to complete the scoring and earn head coach Hong Myung-Bo his first win since being named South Korea's national team manager in June.


Sporting KC midfielder Peterson Joseph did not feature for Haiti on Friday. Both players will now return to Kansas City having completed their international duty.
