For the second straight match at the FIFA U-20 World Cup,

Sporting Kansas City midfielder Mikey Lopez came off the bench on Monday for the United States Under-20 Men's National Team in a 1-1 draw against France. Lopez entered in the 88th minute at Ali Sami Yen Arena in Istanbul, Turkey as the United States remain alive heading into their Group A finale on Thursday against Ghana (12pm CT on ESPNU and WatchESPN).
Lopez, who played 18 minutes in the United States opener on Friday against Spain (postgame quotes & video reaction), replaced Benji Joya on Monday for his 20th career appearance for the U-20's. Follow him on Twitter at @mlopez5_12.
The United States fell behind in the 47th minute on a goal by France's Yaya Sonogo but equalized late on Daniel Cuevas' strike in the 84th minute. Real Salt Lake midfielder Luis Gil -- the United States goalscorer against Spain -- had his penalty kick attempt saved in the 65th minute by Paris Saint Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.
