On Saturday, Major League Soccer released the first voting update for the 2017 MLS All-Star Game Fan XI presented by Target. Sporting KC goalkeeper Tim Melia is currently third among goalkeepers while defender Graham Zusi is fifth. One goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders and two forwards will be voted in as the Fan XI with the third forward selected using EA SPORTS "More Than a Vote" challenge.
Sporting KC's eight players on the ballot are Melia, Zusi, Matt Besler, Ike Opara, Roger Espinoza, Benny Feilhaber, Gerso and Dom Dwyer.
With his eight shutout on Saturday, Melia extended his lead atop the MLS charts. He also leads MLS with a 78.6% save percentage and his seven wins are tied for most in the League.
