New edition of Behind the Shield presented by Audi provides all-access look at SKCvLA on Matchday 6

New in 2024, Behind the Shield presented by Audi will be available after every match this season with the video series - produced by Sporting Kansas City's full-time digital storytellers - providing fans with an immersive viewing experience highlighted by exclusive interviews and all-access footage from Sporting Kansas City players, trainings and matchdays.

This week's BTS captures the sights and sounds from the club's disappointing defeat to the LA Galaxy, taking viewers inside the control room at Children's Mercy Park with Director of Fan Development Blake McFarland.

Fans can also hear from Director of Sports Performance and Science Joey Harty as well as defender Dany Rosero and forward Alan Pulido during the 10-minute episode, which can be seen on, Sporting Kansas City's YouTube channel and MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

"We try to keep in mind, we are just in the fifth week of the season," Rosero says. "And once we understand that, we refocus because there is still a long way to go."

Sporting Kansas City returns to the road this weekend to take on Toronto FC - led by European Championship winners Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi -- at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at BMO Field in Ontario, Canada.

The cross-conference clash will be streamed live on Apple TV for MLS Season Pass subscribers in addition to local radio coverage on ESPN KC 94.5 FM and 1510 AM as well as La Grande 1340 AM.

Pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network will also show all of the action, including a watch party at No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power and Light District. Food and drink specials will start at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, including $4 domestics, $5 wells and 50% off nachos.
