New edition of Behind the Shield presented by Audi provides all-access look at comeback win over Quakes

New in 2024, Behind the Shield presented by Audi will be available after every match this season with the video series - produced by Sporting Kansas City's full-time digital storytellers - providing fans with an immersive viewing experience highlighted by exclusive interviews and all-access footage from Sporting Kansas City players, trainings and matchdays.

This week's BTS captures the sights and sounds from the club's comeback victory versus the San Jose Earthquakes, taking viewers inside the team huddle on the pitch and inside the locker room at the stadium.

Fans can also hear from Director of Sports Performance and Science Joey Harty as well as defender Tim Leibold during the 12-minute episode, which can be seen on, Sporting Kansas City's YouTube channel and MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

"We want to have the ball. We want to create a lot of chances. We want to defend as a team. And we want to play hard," Leibold said before SKCvSJ. "I feel like this is the right time to show it with five out of our next six games at home."

Coming off the 2-1 win over San Jose, Sporting Kansas City will next host the LA Galaxy -- led by Golden Boot leader Dejan Joveljic and MLS All-Star Riqui Puig -- at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Children's Mercy Park.

Tickets are available online at SeatGeek, including the Sporting U Pass  offering $15 tickets in the Supporters' Stand for college students. SKCvLA is the only Matchday 6 fixture in MLS to feature two unbeaten teams going head-to-head and the Western Conference clash will be streamed live on Apple TV for MLS Season Pass subscribers in addition to local radio coverage on ESPN KC 94.5 FM and 1510 AM as well as La Grande 1340 AM.

Pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network will also show all of the action, including a watch party at No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power and Light District. Food and drink specials will start at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, including $4 domestics, $5 wells and 50% off nachos.
