Sporting Kansas City continues its defense of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title against rivals Houston Dynamo on Wednesday night. The quarterfinal matchup will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, streaming live on SportingKC.com.

Sporting KC and Houston are set to battle in the Open Cup for the fourth straight year. Manager Peter Vermes' men defeated the Dynamo in 2015 and 2017 en route to lifting the tournament title, while Houston edged Sporting KC in the 2016 Round of 16. The sides most recently met on June 23 at Children's Mercy Park, when Sporting KC rallied from a two-goal deficit to post a dramatic 3-2 victory.
