By The Numbers: Sporting KC at Toronto FC - Aug. 8, 2015

An inter-conference showdown between MLS Cup contenders awaits on Saturday as Sporting Kansas City visits Toronto FC at BMO Field. Both sides enter the match armed with an MVP candidate — Benny Feilhaber for the visitors and Sebasian Giovinco for the Reds — and two U.S. internationals as Matt Besler and Graham Zusi square off against Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore.

History in the #TORvSKC fixture favors Sporting KC, who are unbeaten in their last five trips to BMO Field and have won each of their last three matches played at the stadium by a one-goal margin. The diminutive Giovinco, however, is fresh off a mid-week hat-trick and leads the Golden Boot race with 16 strikes in his first MLS season.

Saturday's contest will air live locally on KMCI-TV 38 The Spot and across the Midwest on SKCTV with three hours of coverage starting at 2:30 p.m. CT. We take a closer look at the matchup in our By The Numbers preview...
