Oliver makes his Sporting KC debut

As a kid, everyone wonders what it would be like to meet their favorite professional athlete, and most of us would have been content with simply an autograph. The opportunity to interact with our favorite athlete while playing their respective sport, however, was only a dream. For a few lucky kids, EA SPORTS Game Time makes this dream a reality. EA SPORTS Game Time is a weekly/educational television program that aspires to motivate the next generation of professional athletes. EA SPORTS Game Time enables youth reporters to spend an entire day with their favorite professional athlete in the professionals natural habitat.

For Oliver Bihuniak, that meant a visit to Sporting Park to hang out with eight of his favorite Sporting Kansas City players. Bihuniak, 14, was all smiles during a recent episode of EA SPORTS Game Time. Oliver talked and trained with Sporting KC players Soony Saad, Uri Rosell, Chance Myers, C.J. Sapong, Ike Opara, Mikey Lopez, Matt Besler, and Jimmy Nielsen. Oliver’s love for his hometown team and knowledge of the sport allowed him to quickly bond with the players.

U.S. Men's National Team defender and Kansas City native Matt Besler presented Oliver with his very own, personalized, number 9 jersey. Rocking his new gear, Oliver and his new teammates emerged from the locker rooms at Sporting Park and made their way through the tunnle and onto the pitch.
