Nearly 100 local youth soccer players -- including two past Victory Project honorees -- were given the full professional playing experience at the inaugural Victory Project Soccer Clinic held Monday at Sporting Park. The participants made the most of the opportunity to play inside a state-of-the-art stadium, including access to the Sporting Kansas City locker room and coaching tips from 10 of the team's professional players.
Ike Opara, Teal Bunbury, Seth Sinovic, Jimmy Medranda, Brendan Ruiz, Eric Kronberg, Soony Saad, Dom Dwyer, Jacob Peterson and Oriol Rosell were among the Sporting KC stars in attendance for the one-hour clinic, which was followed by a meet-and-greet for photo and autograph opportunities with the pros.
Sporting Club Network staff were also on site to help host the clinic as the campers showcased their skills in a variety of stations.
