On Sporting KC's performance in a 2-1 loss to Real Salt Lake...
The first group struggled until the second half, then I thought we were much better. I think it was a lot like our first [Desert Diamond Cup] game against Colorado where we were just very negative on the ball -- played a lot of balls backwards. We started going forward with the ball, and I think that gave us some confidence. The second group came in and I thought they just took the energy up very high -- very positive and good movement off the ball. We created some great chances. Their goalkeeper actually made a couple really good saves, but I thought we moved the ball around in their (half) well. So now everyone's had 60 minutes, so we're going to try to push the guys to get 90 minutes this weekend if possible.
On Dom Dwyer's goal following a Benny Feilhaber corner kick in the second half...
It was just a corner kick that we spend a lot of time on. (Dwyer) has great movement in the box. That time his (defender) wasn't holding him and he was free. When he gets in those situations, he always finds an opportunity to put something in the back of the net, and he did there. It was a great ball in and great movement by him -- obviously great execution.
On the chemistry between Sporting KC's attacking players...
It's better, but it's not where it needs to be yet. So that's something to work on. Like I say, game-to-game and day-to-day in training, we're getting better each time. But it's a progression, for sure.
On the physicality of the match...
There are a lot of guys on the field trying to win positions and get contracts. It's men playing, so it's going to get a little heated. Sometimes that happens, but outside of that, it's nothing.
