A new episode of The Sporting KC Show aired Thursday night on Sports Radio 810 WHB with hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine, serving as the perfect primer for Sunday's showdown between Sporting KC and Minnesota United FC at Children's Mercy Park. The second meeting in three weeks between the sides will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT with tickets still available via SeatGeek.com.
After recapping last weekend's scrappy stalemate against Columbus Crew SC, Bukaty and Augustine heard from Sporting KC Manager Peter Vermes and looked ahead to a packed weekend of MLS action as the calendar turns to June. The duo also interviewed 19-year-old homegrown midfielder Wan Kuzain Wan Kamal, who earned his MLS and Sporting KC debut in the late stages of the Columbus match.
In doing so, Kuzain became the eighth-youngest Sporting KC player to feature in a regular season match and the second-youngest Homegrown Player to debut for the side. The highly skilled holding midfielder, who has dual citizenship in the U.S. and Malaysia, is the first Sporting KC Homegrown signing to progress from the Sporting KC Academy to the Swope Park Rangers to the senior team.
