Swope Park Rangers defender Graham Smith has been selected to the bench of the USL Team of the Week after helping shut out OKC Energy FC in the Rangers’ 1-0 win on the road at Taft Stadium on Saturday night.

Smith, who has spent the opening portion on the season on loan with the Rangers from Sporting KC, led all players on the field with 78 passes – completing 89.7 percent of them at the heart of the Rangers’ backline – to go along with five interceptions, four clearances and two tackles.

One of Sporting KC's first round selections in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft, Smith has appeared in all eight of the Rangers’ games this season, starting seven and guiding the side to a 4-1-3 record.

The Rangers are back in action tomorrow night when the side travels to Herriman, Utah to take on 2017 regular-season champions Real Monarchs SLC at Zions Bank Stadium with kickoff set for 8 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
