Sporting KC forward C.J. Sapong continued his strong run of form with a two-goal performance on Saturday against Toronto FC. Sapong scored both goals - a header in each half - to lead Sporting KC to their third-consecutive victory with a 2-1 win over the weekend.
The young striker's work did not go unnoticed as both SI.com's Avi Creditor and SoccerByIves.net's Ives Galarcep named Sapong to their respective Team of the Week.
Sapong also finished behind only Houston Dynamo forward Giles Barnes with the second most points in this week's Castrol Index, which measures a player's impact on all facets of a particular game.
Sapong has now scored a goal or recorded an assist in three consecutive league matches. The Virginia native has four goals and two assists in 21 MLS matches this season.
