Make no mistake about it: SKC Nation will be locked into Sunday's showdown between Sporting Kansas City and the Houston Dynamo, set for 6:30 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Kansas City and FOX Sports Midwest.
But Major League Soccer fans will have the opportunity to take in far more action before, during and after the pivotal Western Conference clash at Children's Mercy Park. The penultimate round of the MLS regular season includes five games kicking off concurrently at 4 p.m. followed by six more beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Playoff implications run rampant in the wildly unpredictable Western Conference, while seeding is on the line in the East. FS1's nationally televised doubleheader starts with a mouthwatering battle between the New York Red Bulls and Atlanta United FC, two teams who could very well meet in the postseason a fortnight from now. Rounding out the FS1 slate is FC Dallas at Seattle Sounders FC in a contest that will go a long way in deciding who finishes above or below the playoff line — and where Sporting KC finishes amidst the logjam.
