Sporting announces launch of inaugural Sporting Kansas City Fantasy Experience

2019 Sporting Fantasy Experience with Peter Vermes

Sporting Kansas City has announced the launch of the inaugural Sporting Kansas City Fantasy Experience, a two-day adult camp created by Sporting Manager Peter Vermes that runs Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21.

The Fantasy Experience will treat participants to a comprehensive professional soccer excursion, including a scrimmage at world-class Children’s Mercy Park, training and recovery sessions at Pinnacle, happy hour celebrations and exclusive tours of Sporting’s world-class facilities. Campers will also spend time at Sporting players’ private quarters within Pinnacle, receiving a personal locker and access to spaces such as the Children’s Mercy Sports Medicine gymnasium.

Registration for the Sporting Kansas City Fantasy Experience is now open for campers over the age of 21. For more information, including a full itinerary and pricing, visit SportingKC.com/fantasyexperience.

The all-inclusive Fantasy Experience kicks off Saturday, July 20, at Pinnacle with a Q&A with Brian Bliss, Sporting KC Technical Director and Vice President of Player Personnel. Guests will then participate in a training session, receive a tour of the new training complex, conduct a Q&A with Vermes and enjoy a happy hour inside Sporting’s luxurious player lounge.

Campers will then make the short trip to Children’s Mercy Park to attend Sporting’s home fixture against Western Conference rivals FC Dallas, receiving field-level access for the 7:30 p.m. CT matchup. Prior to kickoff, guests will meet a non-dressing Sporting player.

On Sunday, July 21, participants will receive a Children’s Mercy Park tour before competing in a scrimmage at the stadium coached by Sporting assistants Kerry Zavagnin and Zoran Savic. A postgame party will conclude the Fantasy Experience on Sunday afternoon.
