Last week, the Sporting Kansas City front office rallied together for a powerful cause: literacy. In partnership with Lead to Read Kansas City, associates across multiple campuses participated in an all-associate book drive, collecting and donating over 300 books to benefit young readers throughout the metro area.
The initiative was led by Sporting Kansas City’s Community Impact team, whose mission is rooted in creating meaningful opportunities that foster growth, development, and mentorship for local youth. One of the team’s core pillars is mentorship, and this book drive exemplifies their commitment to uplifting the next generation through education and community support.
Lead to Read Kansas City is dedicated to enhancing the social, emotional, and reading skills of Kansas City students. Through literacy-focused programming and a network of community volunteers, they’re building a brighter future, one reader at a time.
