Sporting Kansas City announced on Wednesday a multi-year partnership with the historic Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland, located in downtown Kansas City’s Power & Light District.

As part of the relationship, a premium seating area on the venue’s Mercedes Benz Executive Level will be renamed the “Sporting Suite” and select shows at Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland will receive promotional support from Sporting Kansas City via ticket giveaways, social media contests and other strategic campaigns.

“We’re extremely lucky to have a strong working relationship and friendship with Sporting Kansas City, and this this new partnership is an extension of that relationship,” said Joe Litvag, Senior Vice President of AEG Live, operators of The Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland. “We look forward to all of the benefits that this partnership will generate for both sides, creating even more interest in live entertainment, both soccer and music, to help our respective brands grow even stronger.”

In addition, Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland will designate No Other Pub as its official event after-party destination. No Other Pub, a new restaurant and entertainment space located on the second floor of the Kansas City Live! Block in the Power & Light District, will offer drink specials for ticket holders following each show at the theatre.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with one of the premier music venues in Kansas City,” said Andy Tretiak, Chief Marketing Officer of Sporting Kansas City. “Music has always been a big part of the Sporting brand, so this is a natural fit for us. We are already working on a variety of great promotions for our fans and patrons of No Other Pub.”

Throughout the partnership, Sporting Kansas City will receive a number of marketing assets within Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland, including rotating signage on digital video boards and branding in the lobby’s north showcase. Sporting Kansas City will use the theatre’s name and festival logos for promotional use on the club’s digital platforms while also giving away tickets in the Sporting Suite for every show at the venue.

Operated by AEG Live and The Cordish Company since 2007, the original Midland Theatre opened in 1927 and has welcomed world-renown artists throughout its storied history. Following a multi-million dollar renovation in 2007 and 2008, the venue has continued a tradition of hosting premier concerts, awards shows, corporate and charitable events.

Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland features flexible seating configurations (standing, theatre-style and full banquet) and live event capacity ranges from 1,300 to 3,000. The theatre also boasts state-of-the-art sound, lighting and amenities that enhance the historic ambiance, providing a premium entertainment experience to guests.
