Sporting Kansas City announced on Friday the composition of the club’s roster for the 2022 MLS season, which will kick off this weekend with Week 1 highlighted by a marquee interconference showdown between Sporting and Atlanta United FC at 2 p.m. CT Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (FS1, FOX Deportes, FOX Sports app).

The information below discloses the designations for Sporting Kansas City’s senior and supplemental roster, international roster spots, Designated Players and U22 Initiative Players.

Entering the 2022 campaign, Sporting Kansas City has filled 27 of an available 30 roster spots, including all 20 on the Senior Roster and seven of 10 on the Supplemental Roster. The club has also filled all eight available international roster slots. Remi Walter recently received his green card and Alan Pulido has been approved for his green card, meaning these players no longer occupy international spots.

Sporting’s Designated Players are Pulido, Gadi Kinda and Johnny Russell, while its U22 Initiative Players are newcomers Logan Ndenbe, Marinos Tzionis and Robert Voloder.
