Sporting KC 2016 Playoffs DL

Benny Feilhaber and Graham Zusi fired Sporting Kansas City into the Audi 2016 MLS Cup Playoffs on Sunday afternoon, scoring on either side of halftime to secure a 2-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes at Children’s Mercy Park.

The Decision Day win gives Sporting Kansas City a club-record sixth straight playoff appearance and the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference.

Peter Vermes’ men now turn their attention to Thursday's Western Conference Knockout Round match against No. 4 seed Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field — the site of their 2016 season opener back in March. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. CT on FS1 and UniMas.

Tickets for Sporting Kansas City’s potential home playoff game in the Western Conference Semifinals next Sunday, Oct. 30, will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. CT Monday morning via Ticketmaster.com.
