Sporting KC sets attendance record during 2013 MLS regular season

Sporting Kansas City has set a new club attendance record of 335,058 (19,709 per match) for the 2013 Major League Soccer regular season. The number improves on last season's record attendance of 19,404.


Sporting KC sold out all 17 regular season home matches this season and dating back to 2012 has sold out 33 consecutive MLS matches. Along with the season record, the club broke the single-game record with 21,304 in attendance on August 3 versus the New York Red Bulls.


It's been a very successful year at Sporting Park in which the stadium has hosted the 2013 AT&T MLS All-Star Game and the United States Men's National Team for a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier.


Sporting KC will close out the month of October at Sporting Park with their final CONCACAF Champions League group stage match versus CD Olimpia on Wednesday. Tickets for the match are currently available on Ticketmaster.com


Playoff tickets for Sporting KC's home match in the Eastern Conference Semifinals are currently on sale for Season Ticket Members and will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, October 29 at 10 a.m. CT.
