Sporting KC Show Podcast presented by Michelob Ultra: Previewing the 9/11 match vs. Chicago

Running throughout the season on Sports Radio 810 WHB, the Sporting Kansas City Show presented by Michelob Ultra is available on several podcast hubs such as Spotify and iTunes as well as SportingKC.com. With Nate Bukaty, Aly Trost and Conall McCourt hosting the weekly program, Sporting fans have a place to go to catch up on club storylines, guest interviews and more.

A new episode of the Sporting Kansas City Show presented by Michelob Ultra debuted Tuesday night on Sports Radio 810 WHB, serving as a recap of a busy World Cup qualifying window and a compelling preview of Saturday's pivotal home match against Chicago Fire FC at Children's Mercy Park.

At the forefront, hosts Nate Bukaty, Aly Trost and Conall McCourt shared an impassioned conversation about the United States Men's National Team and its pedestrian start to World Cup qualifying on the Concacaf region. With draws in their first two qualifiers against El Salvador and Canada, the U.S. is in need of a result tonight when they make the daunting trip to face Honduras at Estadio Olimpico Metropolitano in San Pedro Sula. The contest will kick off at 9:30 p.m. CT on Paramount Plus, Telemundo and NBC Universo.

The hosts then put a heartwarming spin on Saturday's match preview, welcoming Major John “Sapper” Tice to the show. Major Tice is a flight commander with the 303rd Fighter Squadron at Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, Missouri, and will perform a stadium flyover this weekend before kickoff to commemorate the 20-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States.

Major Tice has been involved in the club's annual Sporting Salutes match in each of the last four years. As special as those experiences have been, he agreed with Bukaty that Saturday will likely be one of the most emotional experiences in the stadium's existence, given the fact that it will take place 20 years after one of the most tragic moments in American history.

Tickets for Sporting's final Saturday home match of the 2021 regular season are available at SeatGeek.com, including Coca-Cola Family Four Packs consisting of four general admission tickets in the South Stand, four Coca-Cola products and four Domino's pizzas.

For supporters watching from home, the cross-conference clash will air live on Bally Sports Kansas City Plus and Bally Sports Midwest Plus with three hours of live coverage beginning at 7 p.m. CT. The match will also stream live on BallySports.com and the new Bally Sports app.

Local radio broadcasts will also air on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM. Additionally, supporters are invited to attend any location within the Sporting Pub Network for a soccer-centric watch party experience.
