Match Preview: The First Leg of the Western Conference Final set to kickoff Sunday, November 25

The Sporting KC Show, held throughout the season on Sports Radio 810 WHB, is now available on Spotify and iTunes. With Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine hosting the weekly program, Sporting KC fans now have a place to go to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.

A new episode of the Sporting KC Show Podcast debuted Tuesday night as hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine were joined by Sporting Kansas City forward Khiry Shelton to preview the Western Conference Championship of the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs, featuring top-seeded Sporting KC and the No. 5 seed Portland Timbers.

Manager Peter Vermes' side will visit Portland on Sunday before hosting the decisive second leg next Thursday, Nov. 29. Tickets for the second-leg encounter at Children's Mercy Park, slated to kick off at 8:30 p.m. CT, are now available at SeatGeek.com.

Shelton played a part in both games of Sporting KC's conference semifinal defeat of Real Salt Lake, starting in a 1-1 draw at RSL before coming off the bench to help close out a wild 4-2 win on Nov. 11. The forward might slot back into the starting lineup this Sunday, as fellow striker Diego Rubio will serve a one-game suspension for caution accumulation.

In addition to welcoming Shelton to the show, Bukaty and Augustine heard from two MLS pundits who have followed their respective teams closely throughout the 2018 campaign. Sporting KC color commentator Matt Lawrence and Portland Timbers analyst Ross Smith touched on all the compelling storylines surrounding the series, with the winner slated to meet either New York Red Bulls or Atlanta United FC in MLS Cup 2018 on Dec. 8.
