In celebration of Pride Month, Sporting KC has partnered with the Kansas City Pride Community Alliance as a sponsor of the 2022 Kansas City Pride Festival on June 10-11 along with the Pride Parade on Saturday, June 11 at Theis Park. Sporting will be teaming up with jersey-front sponsor Compass Minerals as the duo walks in the parade together at 11 a.m. CT.

The following day, Sporting KC will host their Soccer For All: Pride match against the New England Revolution at 2 p.m. CT with a number of Pride Month celebrations taking place throughout the day. Tickets purchased through this link here will have five dollars of each ticket donated to the Kansas City Pride Community Alliance.

Before the match begins, the Mazuma Plaza at Children’s Mercy Park will have many exciting activations including KCWeSpin360, the PhotoBus, face painters and hair artists. 2022 American Idol contestant and member of the LGBTQ+ Community Teddy B will perform the national anthem before the match kicks off. Staff will be wearing pride-inspired Sporting shirts to support the community.

Sporting KC and New England players will be wearing the adidas Love Unites Pride Tops for warmups. Sporting KC players will have Progressive Flag-colored numbers for the match. The training tops are available for purchase at SportingStyle locations, along with other pride capsule collection items with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Kansas City Pride Alliance as well.

Sunday’s match sponsor Tito’s Handmade Vodka will be making a donation to Our Spot Kansas City, local non-profit supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community. They will present a check at halftime of the match.
