Sporting KC Weekly Schedule: July 25-31, 2022

Sporting Kansas City will play for a berth in the 2022 U.S. Open Cup Final when the team takes on Sacramento Republic FC at 9:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday at Heart Health Park in the California capital. The semifinal match-up will air live on ESPN+with local radio coverage available on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM.

On Saturday, Sporting Kansas City (5-13-5, 20 points) will resume the MLS regular season campaign with a Western Conference clash against Austin FC (12-5-5, 41 points) at 7:30 p.m. CT at Children's Mercy Park. Tickets are available online at SeatGeek.com, including the Soccer Capital of America Pack which includes tickets to both the Sporting KC and KC Current home matches this weekend as well as a limited edition co-branded scarf.

Saturday's showdown will be locally televised on 38 The Spot with three hours of coverage beginning at 7 p.m. CT. The broadcast will also stream live on SportingKC.com and in the Sporting KC app for viewers in Kansas and Missouri (excluding the St. Louis area per MLS policy), as well as ESPN+ for out-of-market subscribers. In addition, the match will air live on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM.

SKC SHOW TO AIR ON MONDAY

A new edition of The Sporting KC Show will air on Sports Radio 810 WHB from 7-8 p.m. CT on Monday with hosts Nate Bukaty, Aly Trost Martin and Jacob Peterson. The Sporting KC Show Podcast is available on Spotify, iTunes andSportingKC.com, giving supporters a weekly destination to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.

SECURE SEATS FOR USWNT IN KC

The U.S. Women's National Team will return to Kansas City to face Nigeria at 12 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Children's Mercy Park in the team's first domestic match since qualifying for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and 2024 Summer Olympics. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 9 a.m. CT on Monday, Aug. 1 however Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members will have access to a pre-sale beginning at 9 a.m. CT on Friday and Visa cardholders can also take advantage of a pre-sale beginning at 9 a.m. CT on Sunday.

PRO ADULT SOCCER EXPERIENCE THIS WEEKEND

This weekend, Sporting Kansas City's annual Pro Adult Soccer Experience with Peter Vermes will be held at Compass Minerals National Performance Center and Children's Mercy Park. The two-day camp is designed to provide adults 21 years of age and older with an immersive, all-access experience at Sporting Kansas City's state-of-the-art facilities.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS UNIFIED CUP KICKS OFF SUNDAY

On Sunday, the 2022 Special Olympics Unified Cup will kick off in Detroit, Michigan with 22 teams, including Special Olympics USA which will be represented by two composite Unified teams: one all-male 11-a-side team and one all-female 7-a-side team. Joshua Toplikar (Athlete from Olathe, KS) and Avery Kingery (Unified Partner from Lawrence, KS) were selected to play for Special Olympics USA and were recognized at Sporting Kansas City's home match on Saturday at Children's Mercy Park. Special Olympics USA will play Costa Rica at 12 p.m. CT on Sunday in the women's competition before facing Brazil at 8 a.m. CT on Monday, Aug. 1 in the men's competition.

SKC II TRAVEL TO TEXAS

Sporting KC II will continue the club's inaugural season in MLS NEXT Pro at 7:30 p.m. CT on Sunday against Frontier Division foes North Texas SC at Choctaw Stadium. The match will stream live on  mlsnextpro.com in addition to in-game updates available from  @SportingKCII on Twitter.
