On the heels of a thrilling 2-1 comeback win over Austin FC on Sunday night, Sporting Kansas City (2-1-1, 7 points) will continue their 2021 campaign with two matches this week against Western Conference opposition.

Manager Peter Vermes' side will travel south to face rivals Houston Dynamo FC (1-1-2, 5 points) in a Wednesday night showdown at BBVA Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. CT with three hours of live coverage beginning at 7 p.m. CT on Bally Sports Kansas City Plus, BallySports.com and the Bally Sports app. The contest will also air live locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM, with The Final Whistle postgame show immediately following the match on 810 WHB.

Sporting will then return to Children's Mercy Park on Sunday to host Vancouver Whitecaps FC (2-1-1, 7 points) at 1 p.m. CT. A limited number of tickets for the afternoon matchup are available at SeatGeek.com while supplies last. Bally Sports Kansas City Plus, Bally Sports Midwest Plus, BallySports.com and the Bally Sports app will provide three hours of live programming starting at 12:30 p.m. CT and listeners can catch the action live on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM.

Fan voting for the 2021 Sporting Legends inductee will close tonight at 11:59 p.m. CT on SportingKC.com. The 2021 inductee will be selected via fan vote and will be recognized as the newest Sporting Legend before a Sporting match at Children's Mercy Park later this year. Retired players and active or retired coaches are eligible for selection. For more information about the Sporting Legends hall of honor, click here.

A new episode of the Sporting KC Show Podcast will debut at 7 p.m. CT Tuesday on Sports Radio 810 WHB as hosts Nate Bukaty, Aly Trost and Conall McCourt hear from a Sporting guest, recap Sunday's win over Austin and preview a busy week of MLS action. The Sporting KC Show Podcast is available on Spotify, iTunes and SportingKC.com, giving supporters a weekly destination to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.

Sporting Kansas City, The Victory Project and Community Blood Center will continue their longstanding partnership this week when Children’s Mercy Park hosts a two-day blood drive on Thursday and Friday. The blood drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day inside the Budweiser Brew House, located at the northeast corner of Children’s Mercy Park off the intersection of Village West Parkway and France Family Drive in Kansas City, Kansas.

Appointments for the blood drive are strongly encouraged and walk-ins will only be accepted as capacity safely allows. Make an appointment by accessing the links above or by calling 1-877-468-6844.

Sporting Kansas City II (0-1-1, 1 point) will look to build off last week's 1-1 home draw against OKC Energy FC when they play host to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (0-1-0, 0 points) on Friday night. The match will kick off at 7 p.m. CT and stream live on ESPN Plus.

Four Sporting Kansas City Academy teams will continue their MLS NEXT spring seasons on Saturday, hosting FC Dallas at Swope Soccer Village. The U-19s and U-15s will kick off at 9 a.m. CT, followed by the U-17s and U-14s at 11 a.m. CT. All matches are free and open to the public.
