Sporting KC Weekly Schedule: Nov. 9-13, 2021

In the postseason for a 10th time in the past 11 years, No. 3 seed Sporting Kansas City will begin the Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs at 4 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 20 against No. 6 seed Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Children's Mercy Park. Tickets are available at SeatGeek.com.

On Friday, Sporting Kansas City will host a Playoff Rally in the Budweiser Brew House at Children's Mercy Park, immediately followed by a watch party for the USMNT's World Cup qualifier against Mexico. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. CT with the rally to begin at 7:30 p.m. CT and kickoff in USAvMEX at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN2. Free tickets for the event can be reserved online at SeatGeek.com.

On Saturday, SportingStyle will host a Friends and Family Pre-Sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Wise Power Shield Club at Children's Mercy Park. Parking will be available on the Mazuma Plaza, accessible via Sporting Way, as fans can shop discounted team merchandise ahead of the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs and upcoming holiday shopping season.

Today, fan voting has opened for the 2021 Sporting Club Awards presented by Audi in recognition of the club's outstanding performances over the course of the Major League Soccer season. Supporters can cast their online ballots through Thursday at SportingKC.com/awards for the following annual awards:

  • Most Valuable Player presented by Audi
  • Offensive Player of the Year presented by Fire Door Solutions
  • Defensive Player of the Year presented by Compass Minerals
  • Newcomer of the Year presented by Coca-Cola
  • Goal of the Year presented by Parisi Coffee

For a ninth season, MLS and Wells Fargo have teamed up to recognize individuals going above and beyond to make a positive impact in their communities. Fans have an opportunity to nominate themselves or others for the recognition prior to Wednesday's nomination deadline. Twenty-seven Community MVPs will be selected, one representing each MLS club, and each Community MVP will receive a $2,500 donation to a charity of their choice in addition to MLS memorabilia.

The Sporting KC Show will air on Sports Radio 810 WHB from 7-8 p.m. CT on Wednesday with hosts Nate Bukaty, Aly Trost and Conall McCourt. The Sporting KC Show Podcast is available on Spotify, iTunes and SportingKC.com, giving supporters a weekly destination to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.

Sporting Kansas City defender Kayden Pierre and the United States U-20 Men's National Team will open the Revelations Cup in Celaya, Mexico with two matches this week, facing Brazil at 5 p.m. CT on Wednesday before playing Colombia at 3:30 p.m. CT on Saturday. Both matches will air live on TUDN as Pierre, a Sporting KC Academy product, looks to make his debut at the U-20 level.

The Sporting Kansas City Academy will be in action on Saturday as the U-15s, U-17s and U-19s host RGV FC at Swope Soccer Village. Admission is free and open to the public as the U-15s and U-19s kick off the doubleheader at 9 a.m. CT, followed by the U-17s at 11 a.m. CT. On Saturday, the Kansas City Charity Poker Tournament presented by Audi Shawnee Mission and KC Fashion will be held in the Audi Sport Club at Children's Mercy Park. Check-in begins at 6 p.m. CT for the Texas Hold 'Em tournament and the first hand will be dealt at 6:30 p.m. CT. Registration is limited to the first 200 players ages 18 and over with all proceeds will be donated to Fashion Honors Autism.
