BaKCon Fest

After a 1-0 win over the Seattle Sounders on Sunday in the club's home finale, Sporting Kansas City is unbeaten in seven straight matches - the longest active streak in MLS - and will close out the 2022 campaign this Sunday on the road against FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

The Western Conference clash will kick off at 4:18 p.m. CT and will be locally broadcast on 38 The Spot with radio coverage on ESPN KC 94.5 FM and La Grande 1340 AM. The broadcast will also stream live on SportingKC.com and in the Sporting KC app for viewers in Kansas and Missouri (excluding the St. Louis area per MLS policy), as well as ESPN+ for out-of-market subscribers.

Sporting KC Pub Partners across the Midwest will be showing the match including an enhanced watch party at Blind Box Barbecue (1601 Village West Pkwy.) in Kansas City, Kan.

SKC TO VISIT LOCAL SCHOOLS FOR RED CARD KC CAMPAIGN

Four players will make special appearances at local middle schools this week as part of the Red Card KC anti-bullying campaign established by Sporting and Children's Mercy. Sporting KC II defender Coby Jones will return to his former middle school - Frontier Trail in the Olathe School District - on Wednesday, while Tim Melia will speak with students from Oxford Middle School on Wednesday, John Pulskamp will participate in an assembly at Congress Ridge Middle School on Thursday and Ben Sweat will visit Overland Trail Middle School on Wednesday.

BAKCON FEST ON SATURDAY AT CHILDREN'S MERCY PARK

Sporting Kansas City and Sporting Club Special Events will host BaKCon Fest, a lively bacon-themed festival filled with beer, bands and bacon-inspired cuisine, on Saturday at Children's Mercy Park. VIP access begins at 10 a.m. with General Admission access starting at 11 a.m. and three categories of tickets are available via SeatGeek in addition to the BaKCon Brews add-on for up to 10 tasting pours of local and regional craft beers and seltzers.

ACADEMY TRAVELS TO TEXAS FOR MLS NEXT MATCHES

The Sporting KC Academy will continue the 2022-23 MLS NEXT season this weekend in Texas as the Sporting KC U-14's, U-15's and U-17's will play Houston Dynamo FC on Saturday before taking on Austin FC on Sunday. Follow @SKCAcademy on Twitter for updates throughout the season.
