Major League Soccer announced on Friday that Sporting KC’s October 16 match vs. Real Salt Lake will kick off at 4 p.m. CT. Broadcast details for the match will be announced at a later date.
Based off the success of last year’s Decision Day, Major League Soccer extended the concept of simultaneous match times to week 33 of the 2016 regular season. All five Eastern Conference matches will kick off at 2 p.m. CT and all five Western Conference matches will kick off at 4 p.m. CT.
Sporting Kansas City is currently in fifth place in the Western Conference with 38 points through 28 matches. The club is off this weekend due to international matches, but will resume League play next Friday night with a home match against the Houston Dynamo.
