Sporting Kansas City has selected veteran right back Frankie Hejduk from the Columbus Crew in the MLS Re-Entry Draft. Later in the day, Kansas City traded Hejduk's rights to Los Angeles for the rights to 25-year-old midfielder/defender Luke Sassano.
Former Kansas City players Josh Wolff and Jimmy Conrad were the first two players selected in the draft, with Wolff going to D.C. United and Conrad to Chivas USA. Read about Wolff and Conrad's departure here.
