Sprint -- the team’s official wireless telecommunications partner -- will be hosting a free pre-game tailgate for the company’s customers from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday at Sporting Park prior to kickoff between Sporting Kansas City and the Colorado Rapids. The first 2,000 Sprint customers to arrive at the tailgate on the Sprint Plaza will be permitted entry by showing their Sprint device.

Please note: fan access to all activities on the Sprint Plaza, including the Sprint tailgate, requires a game ticket. A limited number of tickets for #SKCvCOL remain available and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or at the Sporting Park box offices on Saturday.
Saturday’s tailgate will feature complimentary food (hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, watermelon, baked beans, potato salad, cookies) and drinks (water, lemonade, soda and beer) for guests. The Magnetics will provide live music and the first 2,000 fans to enter the tailgate will receive a #KCProud t-shirt (shown on right).

In addition, Sprint will be distributing 20,000 rally towels (design shown below) for all Sporting Kansas City ticket holders once inside the stadium gates.
Sprint is one of Sporting KC’s six First Team corporate partners and was recently ranked No. 1 in overall network performance in Kansas City in a tie. Earlier this month, Sprint was the presenting sponsor of the club’s U.S. Open Cup live stream and also supplied commemorative Matt Besler posters for the first 10,000 fans at Sporting Park on June 6.
