Sporting Park hosted a press conference to announce AS Roma as the 2013 MLS All-Star Game opponent earlier today. With that in mind, we present to you this gem:
For a little background, one of AS Roma's key contributors is American midfielder Michael Bradley. The U.S. Men's National Team standout played two seasons in Major League Soccer before going overseas.
The video clip above shows Bradley's lone goal during his MLS career which came in his final regular season match while playing in the League. Bradley's game-winning goal came in a crucial 2-0 victory for the MetroStars as they defeated Chivas USA. The victory clinched a playoff berth for a MetroStars side led by former Kansas City goalkeeper Tony Meola. Ironically, the MetroStars victory ended Kansas City's hopes for a playoff spot during that 2005 season.
While we are excited to welcome Bradley back to America this summer, we haven't forgotten the tangible mark he left in his last regular season match.
