#TBT: The White Puma takes over Kansas City -

It's unclear if Kansas City soccer fans knew what they had in Jimmy Nielsen when Peter Vermes signed the then-32 year old goalkeeper on February 11, 2010. The veteran goalkeepr was coming off an accomplished career in Denmark's first division, but was relatively unknown on this side of the Atlantic.

But with his effusive personality (and willingness to buy fans beer) the White Puma endeared himself quickly to the KC faithful. Fast forward four years later, and Nielsen leaves MLS as one of the most accomplished goalkeepers in MLS history and one of the most accomplished players in Sporting KC history.

So for today's #TBT, we're taking it back four years, when Nielsen opened his Kansas City career with a 4-0 shutout win over D.C. United.
