Times and locations for scheduled events are subject to change
The state-of-the-art National Training Center (1805 N. 98th St.) in Kansas City, Kan., will officially open this week with Sporting Kansas City training in the $75-million, world-class facility for the first time at 10 a.m. CT on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Sporting Kansas City, which returned to KC on Saturday following a 2-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids in a 120-minute exhibition, will then return to Arizona on Friday to continue the team's preseason, presented by Children's Mercy.
Preseason preparations are also underway for the Swope Park Rangers at Swope Soccer Village (6310 Lewis Rd.) in Kansas City, Mo., where the team is scheduled to train at 1:30 p.m. CT each day this week in advance of the USL club's first preseason friendly against Rockhurst University at 3:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Swope Soccer Village. The match is free and open to the public to attend.
The Sporting KC Academy U-15's, U-17's and U-19's will host Solar Soccer Club (Dallas, Texas) in a U.S. Soccer Development Academy tripleheader beginning at 10 a.m. CT on Saturday at Swope Soccer Village. The Sporting KC Academy U-19's can move into sole possession of first place in the Central Conference's Frontier Division with a victory.
