Career Summary

2017: Made two appearances while on loan at USL expansion club and San Jose Earthquakes affiliate Reno 1868 FC. Silva debuted for the club in the season opener against Orange County SC on March 25 and made a further appearance against Real Monarchs SLC on April 6. Silva suffered a major scare on July 4 following a swimming accident at Lake Tahoe, leaving him in critical condition. He made a full recovery but did not play again for the remainder of the 2017 season.

2016: Made four appearances, including two starts, in MLS action. Silva made his debut for the Earthquakes as a late substitute in a 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids on March 6 and made his first start on May 7 in a road game at Seattle Sounders FC. In addition, he started in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup loss to the Portland Timbers on June 14. Silva was loaned to USL side Arizona United SC and made his debut for the club on May 14. He appeared in 17 matches throughout the 2016 USL season as Arizona – now Phoenix Rising FC – finished 13th in the Western Conference.

2015: Signed with the San Jose Earthquakes in the summer but did not make an appearance for the remainder of the season.

Personal: Silva was one of the top prep players in the United States, playing for Montverde Academy in Florida – leading the team to an unbeaten 18-0-1 record in his final year.
