Career Summary

2016: Made 22 appearances in the regular season for the Swope Park Rangers, including six starts, scoring one goal and adding one assist. Selbol scored his first professional goal with the game-winner against Tulsa Roughnecks FC on April 2 before adding his first career assist on June 18 vs. OKC Energy FC. He made two appearances in the USL Cup Playoffs, both off the bench. Recorded the game-winning assist in the Western Conference Semifinal against Orange County Blues FC on Oct. 9 before being sent off after receiving two yellow cards in the Conference Final against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on Oct. 15 that saw him miss the USL Cup Final. Selbol made his Sporting Kansas City debut and scored the game-winning goal in the 3-1 win over Central FC in the CONCACAF Champions League on Oct. 19.

Sporting KC Academy: Selbol joined the Sporting Kansas City Under-18s at the start of the 2015-16 season, scoring 12 goals in 14 appearances. He scored his first goal the following weekend against the Colorado Rapids on Sept. 26, before plundering in a hat trick against the same opposition a day later. He continued his scoring streak the subsequent weekend against the Dallas Texans on Oct. 4 before hitting a brace later in the month against FC Dallas on Oct. 24. Selbol scored his eighth goal of the season against Real Colorado on Oct. 31 and tallied his ninth against the Colorado Rush Nov. 8. He notched his final goal with the Academy before joining SPR with the only goal of the game against Texans SC Houston on Nov. 21. Selbol rejoined the SKC Academy for the Development Academy Playoffs over the summer of 2016, scoring another two goals against the Capital Area Railhawks on June 22 and the San Jose Earthquakes on June 26.

International: Selbol was named to the preliminary roster for the Nigeria Under-17 National Team ahead of the 2013 FIFA Under-17 World Cup. He did not make the final squad as the Super Eagles went on to become U-17 World Champions.

Personal: Selbol was born and raised in Jos, Nigeria before moving to Kansas City in 2014. While in Nigeria, Selbol played for C.O.D. United FC, Plateau United FC and Pawas Soccer Academy.
