Career Summary

2019: USL Championship: Started four of five appearances (388 minutes). 

Outside USL: Clarke headed abroad and joined Icelandic outfit Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar at the start of 2018. He made 15 appearances for FH, starting nine of the club’s final 12 games of the 2018 Úrvalsdeild karla (Iceland’s top division), helping the side to a fifth-place finish in the 12-team league and missing out on UEFA Europa League qualification on goal difference. Clarke made four appearances for FH in 2018 Europa League qualifying, where HF fell 2-1 on aggregate to Hapoel Haifa in the Second Qualifying Round, and two appearances in the 2018 Mjólkurbikarinn, Iceland’s domestic cup competition.

At the conclusion of the 2018 campaign, Clarke returned to Jamaica and rejoined his hometown team Harbour View. Clarke made eight appearances in the latter stages of the 2018-19 Red Stripe Premier League season as Harbour View finished ninth and avoided relegation by five points.

2017: Clarke signed an MLS contract with the Portland Timbers prior to the start of the season. He made one appearance for the Timbers, coming in the U.S. Open Cup in a 2-1 loss to Seattle Sounders FC on June 13, where Clarke recorded the assist on the Timbers’ lone goal. Clarke spent the majority of the season on loan with Timbers 2, making 17 appearances in the USL Championship.

2016: Clarke played in 14 USL Championship games, tallying two goals. He made his season debut on June 25 in a 1-0 loss on the road to Saint Louis FC. He scored in back-to-back appearances against LA Galaxy II and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on July 15 and August 3, respectively.

2015: Clarke joined Portland Timbers 2 for their inaugural season in the USL Championship, making 15 appearances in USL Championship play. He made his T2 debut on March 29 in a 3-1 victory over Real Monarchs SLC. He was shown a red card after receiving a second yellow in a 1-1 draw with Real Monarchs on April 8. Played in two games in the U.S. Open Cup for Timbers 2, scoring his first goal for the club against Sounders FC 2 on May 27 as the side fell in the Third Round 2-1.

Before USL: Clarke was developed in Harbour View’s Academy, eventually reaching the first team in 2014. He made seven appearances, tallying one goal, for Harbour View before joining Portland Timbers 2 in the USL Championship ahead of their expansion season in 2015.

International: Clarke made three appearances while representing Jamaica at the 2015 U-20 Concacaf Championship, having already played in three games for Jamaica’s U-21 side at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 2014.
