Career Summary

2017: Saravia played for Swedish Superettan outfit IK Frej on a season-long loan from the Crew in 2017. Following a preseason injury, Saravia made his debut for IK Frej against Syrianska FC on June 17, 2017 and went on to make 11 total appearances. He scored his first professional goal for Frej in a 3-1 victory over Örgryte on August 18, 2017. Saravia appeared off the bench in the first leg of the relegation playoffs, which ended in a 1-1 draw on aggregate against Spånga IP as Frej survived to remain in Superettan on the away goals tiebreaker.

2016: Made 12 appearances for Columbus Crew SC after being selected in the first round (19th overall) of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. He made his professional debut off the bench against New York City FC on April 16 before earning his first and only MLS start for the Crew on May 28 in a 4-3 victory over Real Salt Lake. Two of Saravia’s 12 appearances came in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, as he started in a 4-0 Fourth Round victory over the Tampa Bay Rowdies on June 15 and a 2-1 Fifth Round defeat to the Chicago Fire on June 28. He also made two appearances while on loan with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL, coming against FC Montreal on August 10 and Bethlehem Steel FC on August 13.

College: Saravia spent four years playing at Florida Gulf Coast University, making 67 appearances and tallying two goals with seven assists. Saravia earned Atlantic Sun All-Freshman Team honors in his first season, All-Conference Second Team as a sophomore, All-Conference First Team and Academic All-Conference Team as a junior before being named Atlantic Sun Player of the Year as a senior, while also earning All-Conference First Team and NSCAA All-Region Third Team accolades in his final year.

International: Saravia has six caps for the Guatemala National Team since making his debut in a friendly against Honduras on February 10, 2016. Two of his six caps came against the U.S. National Team in 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying.
