Sporting Kansas City and 94.9 KCMO are teaming up again this year to assist City Union Mission to provide school supplies for less fortunate children in the Greater Kansas City area.
As part of KCMO’s four-week campaign asking listeners to donate school supplies, clothing, and monetary donations, Sporting Kansas City will be organizing a collection site at their match on Saturday against the New England Revolution at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
Bins will be set up at each entrance into the stadium for fans to drop off donations, and those that contribute three or more items at the gates will receive a voucher for 50% off tickets to Sporting Kansas City's match on Wednesday, September 28 when they host the Columbus Crew.
This marks the fourth straight year that Sporting Kansas City has supported the local school supply drive. Sporting Kansas City is also planning to coordinate the distribution of school supplies with City Union Mission in upcoming weeks.
KCMO will broadcast via a live remote from LIVESTRONG Sporting Park before Saturday’s match.
