Game time moved back for D.C. United match

Sporting Kansas City’s match against D.C. United on Sunday, August 21st will now kick-off at 7:30 p.m. CT at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, the clubs announced Wednesday. 


Tickets for the match, presented by Price Chopper, are available at the at the LIVESTRONG Sporting Park box offices or online at Ticketmaster.com.


The match, the first of two meetings this season between the rivals, will still be shown live locally on KSMO-TV, beginning with the “First Kick” pre-game show at 7:00 p.m. CT. The broadcast will be immediately followed by “Off the Pitch with Sporting Kansas City,” the station’s weekly soccer show.


Time Warner Cable Channel 5 will also air the game live for Spanish-language speakers, but the match will no longer be nationally broadcast on Galavision due to it being pushed back an hour and a half.


Sporting Kansas City continues their nine-game homestand at 7:30 p.m. CT on August 17th against the Portland Timbers at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park. The club’s match against the Los Angeles Galaxy, originally scheduled for this week, will be played at 5:00 p.m. CT on Monday, September 5th.
