U16s & U18s face SLSG Metro

The Sporting Kansas City Under-16 and Under-18 Juniors will travel across the state of Missouri to take on St. Louis Scott Gallagher Metro on Saturday in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. The doubleheader will be a rematch of the last time the Frontier Division rivals met on March 10 in Kansas City.

The U18's (1-5-3, 5-8-3) prevailed 2-1 in the first meeting on goals from Isai Gutierrez and Eduardo Moreno, and will open the doubleheader on Saturday at 10am against a Metro side that's winless in the Central Conference this season (0-4-4, 2-9-4). The U16's (2-2-5, 4-4-8) are unbeaten in each of their last four USSDA matches and are one point back of Real Colorado and Minnesota Thunder Academy for third place. Their match against Metro (2-5-1, 4-7-4) will kickoff at noon at the SLSG Facility.

Both teams have just five matches left in the 2011-12 campaign and will look to make a late surge toward the Development Academy playoffs and showcase, to be held June 25-29 at FC Dallas Sports Park in Frisco, TX.
