Coming off a pair of 2-0 victories last weekend in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, the Sporting Kansas City under-16 and under-18 Juniors will look to continue their winning ways tonight when they host the Minnesota Thunder Academy at the Sporting Club Training Center in Swope Park.

The U18's (2-5-3, 6-8-3) open the doubleheader at 4:30 p.m. CT and will be up against a Minnesota side currently in second place in the Frontier Division with a 4-2-3 record in conference and 8-3-4 record overall. In their previous meeting last month, the Thunder Academy capitalized on their homefield advantage in a 2-1 win.

The U16's (3-2-5, 5-4-8) will kickoff at 7:00 p.m. CT in a clash of two mid-table teams in the Frontier Division. The Sporting KC Juniors hold a two-point lead (with an extra game played) in fourth place over tonight's counterparts thanks to their recent five-game unbeaten run. The Thunder Academy, featuring Sporting KC striker Teal Bunbury's younger brother Logan, will be looking for retribution after suffering a 4-0 loss at home to Sporting KC in April.

Both games are free and open to the public. The training center is located at 6310 Lewis Rd. in Kansas City, MO. See you there!
