Sporting KC cheers on the Bruins

Thursday night the University of Arizona (16-2) and the University of California Los Angeles (16-4) faced off in an in-conference matchup at McKale Center, home to the Wildcats. However, it was the Bruins who took the early advantage despite being the visitors. Perhaps they could feel the energy from former UCLA Bruins soccer player Chance Myers who was in the crowd. Myers was a standout for the Bruins for two seasons before being drafted by Kansas City with the first overall pick in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft.

Myers was joined by teammates Kyler Miller, Teal Bunbury, Ike Opara, Jacob Peterson and Seth Sinovic as McKale Center is located in Tucson not far from Sporting Kansas City's preseason hotel. Apparently, they were the only ones who weren't wearing white.

Despite the white out, UCLA players were able to keep their composure defeating #6 ranked Arizona by a scoreline of 84-73. With the victory, unseeded UCLA maintain second place in the Pac-12 Conference.
