CONCACAF released the preliminary rosters moments ago for the 12 national teams competing in the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup this summer. Five Sporting Kansas City players are among the listed players, with Graham Zusi, Matt Besler and Benny Feilhaber chosen by the U.S. Men's National Team and Hatiti selecting Peterson Joseph and Mechack Jerome.
By June 27, teams will name their final 23 players for the tournament by picking players from these preliminary rosters. The tournament will be held in the United States from July 7-28 and the champion of the 2013 Gold Cup will qualify for a playoff match to decide which CONCACAF national team will represent the region in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup™.
All 25 matches during the 2013 Gold Cup will be broadcast live in the U.S., with three to be shown on FOX Sports including the final on Sunday, July 28 at 3 p.m. CT.
