Acquired prior to the start of the 2014 season, Sporting KC winger Sal Zizzo is settling into life in Kansas City.
"I really like the city. The fans are great," Zizzo told KC Live last week. "I've been blessed to be able to play in the city of Portland where the fans were also crazy and now here as well. I think you can thank the ownership of the team and the rebrand of Sporting KC and the stadium they've built."
On the field, Zizzo is one of four field players to appear in each of the team's six MLS matches thus far. His strong start to the season has him second on the team in shots (10) and assists (2), and he nearly bagged his first goal in a Sporting KC uniform over the weekend if not for a sliding stop by former Timbers teammate Troy Perkins.
He's appeared on the cover of INK magazine and has become a recurring guest in The Benny Feilhaber Show. And on Saturday, he was the latest Sporting KC player to be featured in the Two Lies and a Truth series on the Sporting Park videoboard.
