Sporting KC releases 2016 MLS schedule
Sporting KC released the club's full 34-game regular season schedule last Thursday for the 2016 Major League Soccer season. The club will kick off its 21st season on Sunday, March 6, at CenturyLink Field against Seattle Sounders FC at 6 p.m. CT on FS1. (Full story)


Sporting KC acquires six-time MLS All-Star midfielder Brad Davis
Sporting KC announced last Thursday that the club has acquired midfielder Brad Davis from the Houston Dynamo in exchange for a natural second-round pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, a natural third-round pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft and future considerations. Davis has recorded 58 goals and 131 assists (including postseason) during a 14-year MLS career highlighted by 2006 and 2007 MLS Cup championships, 2011 MLS Best XI honors and six MLS All-Star selections. Sporting KC signs Daniel Salloi as Homegrown Player
Sporting KC announced today the signing of 19-year-old forward Daniel Salloi as the fourth Homegrown Player in club history. Salloi becomes the fourth Homegrown Player on Sporting KC’s roster, alongside Jon Kempin (2010), Kevin Ellis (2011) and Erik Palmer-Brown (2013). (Full story)


Sporting KC captain Matt Besler joins U.S. MNT for January camp
Sporting KC captain Matt Besler was selected to the United States Men’s National Team roster last Wednesday to participate in the U.S. MNT January Camp from Jan. 10 – Feb. 6 in Carson, California. The annual training camp is highlighted by two international friendlies as the United States begins preparation for the 2016 Centennial Copa America in June. Jurgen Klinsmann’s 23-player squad will meet Iceland on Jan. 31 and Canada on Feb. 5, with both matches taking place in Carson at StubHub Center. (Full story)


Sporting KC signs Soni Mustivar and Paulo Nagamura to new contracts
Sporting KC has signed midfielders Soni Mustivar and Paulo Nagamura to new contracts, the club announced on Monday. Mustivar’s first season at Sporting KC culminated in 2015 Co-Defender of the Year honors. Nagamura, who joined the inaugural class of MLS free agents in December, will return to Sporting KC in 2016 for his fifth season with the team. Sporting KC & The Cordish Companies announce "No Other Pub"
Sporting KC announced Tuesday that the club has partnered with The Cordish Companies and Entertainment Consulting International to create a new flagship restaurant and entertainment concept in the Kansas City Power & Light District called No Other Pub. Located at 1370 Grand Blvd., on the second level of the Kansas City Live! Block, No Other Pub will open on Feb. 22 with exclusive pre-opening events held on dates to be announced later. (Full story)


Sporting KC holds 11th overall pick in 2016 MLS SuperDraft on Thursday
Sporting KC enters the 2016 MLS SuperDraft on Thursday with the No. 11 pick in the first round. The first two rounds of the draft at the Baltimore Convention Center will be streamed live on MLSsoccer.com beginning at noon CT. (Full story)


Popovic and Dufty round out Rangers' technical staff
The Swope Park Rangers announced Wednesday that the club has brought in Nikola Popovic as an assistant coach and Alec Dufty as a goalkeeper coach. Rangers boost international presence with Ballo and Ualefi
The Swope Park Rangers have signed defender Oumar Ballo and midfielder Ualefi Rodrigues dos Reis, the club announced Monday. Ballo will join the Rangers pending the receipt of his P-1 Visa, while Ualefi will join pending the receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
