Individual tickets for second half of season to go on sale May 31 -

Individual tickets for the second half of Sporting KC’s 2016 home schedule will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, May 31. The eight home games include some of the biggest names in Major League Soccer as well as visits from the 2015 MLS Cup finalists.

Tickets for all home matches will be available via Ticketmaster.com or by calling 888-4KC-GOAL. Sporting KC is in the midst of 77 straight MLS sellouts at Children’s Mercy Park dating back to April 2012.

The second half of the home slate begins with a visit from the 2015 Eastern Conference champions Columbus Crew on July 3. The following weekend, NYCFC and their star-studded roster of David Villa, Andrea Pirlo and Frank Lampard visit Children’s Mercy Park for the first time. Two weeks later, the Seattle Sounders bring USMNT veteran Clint Dempsey and budding star Jordan Morris to town, while a nationally-televised contest against the defending MLS Cup champions Portland Timbers close out a busy July for Sporting KC.

Children’s Mercy Park will host the Vancouver Whitecaps on August 20 in the only regular season home match in August. September’s home slate includes matches against Western Conference rival Houston Dynamo and five-time MLS Cup champion LA Galaxy whose high-powered attack led by Robbie Keane, Giovani Dos Santos and Gyasi Zardes leads MLS with 25 goals scored.

Similar to last year, Major League Soccer’s final weekend of the season has been dubbed Decision Day. Sporting KC will host the San Jose Earthquakes in a match that could have massive implications on the playoff race. Sporting KC is currently in seventh place in the Western Conference, two points behind the Earthquakes and just below the red line.

Sporting KC will return to action on Friday with a match against Eastern Conference foe D.C. United. Limited tickets are available and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 888-4KC-GOAL. The match can be seen nationally on UniMas and locally on KMCI-TV 38 the Spot with radio coverage on 99.3 FM and La Grande1340.
