Sporting KC holds third-round pick as SuperDraft wraps up Tuesday

Sporting Kansas City is poised make yet another addition to its roster before kicking off the 2017 preseason, presented by Children's Mercy.

The third and fourth rounds of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft will take place Tuesday at 1 p.m. CT via conference call, giving teams another chance to bolster their respective squads. Sporting Kansas City currently holds the 58th overall pick in the third round, having traded its fourth-round pick to the Portland Timbers in exchange for forward Christian Volesky last week.

Peter Vermes' men will kick off the 2017 regular season on March 4 at D.C. United, the first match to be televised on FOX Sports Kansas City. Before then, the club will travel to Tucson, Arizona for both phases of preseason training, first from Jan. 23 – Feb. 7 and then from Feb. 15-25 for the Desert Diamond Cup.
