Sporting Kansas City remains in Tucson for the final week of the 2017 preseason, presented by Children's Mercy. The club will continue Desert Diamond Cup action with two matches against fellow MLS opponents, facing the New England Revolution at noon CT Wednesday and a team to be determined on Saturday. Both games at Kino Sports Complex will be streamed live on SportingKC.com and FOX Sports GO. Sporting KC will then return to Kansas City on Sunday ahead of the club's MLS season opener on March 4 at D.C. United.


Sporting KC defender Erik Palmer-Brown is captaining the U.S U-20 Men's National Team at the 2017 CONCACAF U-20 Championship in San Jose, Costa Rica. The U.S. will finish the preliminary group stage of the competition this week, battling Haiti on Tuesday and St. Kitts and Nevis on Friday. Both matches will kick off at 4:30 p.m. CT with live streams on CONCACAF's Facebook page and Spanish broadcasts on Univision Deportes Network. The Swope Park Rangers continue preseason training ahead of the 2017 USL campaign, ending the week with a scrimmage at 2 p.m. CT Sunday against the University of Tulsa at Swope Soccer Village. Admission is free and open to the public.


The Sporting Kansas City Academy U-16s conclude the preliminary rounds of the 2016-17 Generation adidas Cup today at Houston Sports Park, meeting the Chicago Fire at 11:30 a.m. CT. Academy action will continue Saturday when the Sporting KC U-18s and U-16s duel the Colorado Rush in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. The doubleheader at Fort Hays State University Soccer Stadium in Hays, Kansas will begin with the U-18s kicking off at noon CT, followed by the U-16s at 2:30 p.m. CT.


Sporting KC and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City are teaming up in 2017 to recognize Blue KC Sporting Samaritans, honoring students and teachers who make the Kansas City community a better place to live, work and play. Once a month, a Samaritan will be recognized on the pitch at Children's Mercy Park before a Sporting KC home game. Once a month, a Samaritan and up to three guests will receive a behind the scenes VIP experience, four tickets to the game, a parking pass and a $50 gift card redeemable for Sporting KC merchandise. Supporters can nominate members of their community to be the next Blue KC Sporting Samaritan at SportingKC.com/bluekc
