Peter Vermes continues to have a relatively small injury headache heading into Week 3 of the 2017 MLS season where Sporting KC will take on the San Jose Earthquakes. While one name has been added to the injury report, the 18-man gameday squad from last Saturdayā€™s 0-0 draw with FC Dallas still boasts a clean bill of health.

Forward Diego Rubio remains listed as ā€œoutā€ and will realistically do so for the foreseeable future as he continues to work his way back from a torn ACL he suffered in October.

Cameron Iwasa is listed as ā€œquestionableā€ for the third straight week as he looks to shake the hamstring strain that he sustained in preseason once and for all. Center back Erik Palmer-Brown is also ā€œquestionableā€ for the second week in succession, having returned from U.S. Under-20 National Team duty with an ankle sprain.

The sole newcomer on the injury report is Saad Abdul-Salaam. The right back is ā€œquestionableā€ ahead of Saturdayā€™s matchup with a thigh strain.

The Earthquakes have no new injury concerns as forward Quincy Amarikwa remains sidelined with a torn ACL suffered during the 2016 season, while midfielder Marc Pelosi is out after undergoing a procedure late last season to resolve chronic tendinitis in his left knee.

The two sides will square off at Childrenā€™s Mercy Park tonight with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports Kansas City and the FOX Sports GO app, while ESPN 99.3 and La Grande 1340 AM will have the call on the radio.
