(April 24, 2017) -- Sporting Kansas City (3-1-3, 12 points) suffered their first loss of the 2017 MLS season on Saturday, falling 1-0 at unbeaten FC Dallas. With a two-game road swing in the books, the club returns to Children's Mercy Park on Saturday to host rivals Real Salt Lake (2-4-2, 8 points) at 7:30 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Kansas City Plus, ESPN 99.3 FM (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish).

FOX Sports Kansas City Plus will broadcast three hours of live coverage beginning with the Bud Light pregame show at 7 p.m., while The Final Whistle postgame show will air immediately after the match on 99.3 FM. The match will also be streamed on FOX Sports GO and available to all pay-TV subscribers within the Sporting KC TV territory who receive FOX Sports Kansas City or FOX Sports Midwest. Click here for full the Sporting KC broadcast schedule and TV listings.

Tickets for Saturday's match are on sale at SeatGeek.com, and the first 10,000 fans through the Children's Mercy Park gates will receive a free Sporting KC koozie courtesy of match sponsor Park University. Supporters are encouraged to stay in their seats after the match for the Special Olympics Unified Exchange game between athletes from Special Olympics Kansas City and Special Olympics Utah.

The Swope Park Rangers (3-1-0, 9 points) also took their first defeat of 2017 this weekend, losing a 4-3 thriller to Phoenix Rising FC in Tempe, Arizona. The Rangers will remain on the road Saturday to face Real Monarchs SLC (4-1-0, 12 points), kicking off at 5 p.m. CT with a live stream on SportingKC.com.

A new episode of the Sporting KC Show will air at 7:10 p.m. CT Tuesday on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Hosts Nate Bukaty, Carter Augustine and Jillian Carroll will recap a busy soccer weekend and preview Saturday's matches involving Sporting KC and the Swope Park Rangers.

Swope Park Rangers defender and Sporting KC Academy product Jaylin Lindsey is with the United States U-17 Men's National Team for the CONCACAF U-17 Championship, which runs through May 7 in Panama. The USA opened the tournament Sunday with a 5-0 win over Jamaica and will conclude group stage action this week, facing Mexico at 5:30 p.m. CT Wednesday and El Salvador at 10:30 a.m. CT Saturday. Both matches will be streamed live in English on the CONCACAF Facebook page and televised in Spanish on Univision Deportes Network.

The Sporting KC Academy continues its 2016-17 U.S. Soccer Development Academy campaign on Saturday with a pivotal doubleheader against FC Dallas on the campus of the University of Tulsa. The U-18s kick off at noon CT before the U-16s take the field at 2:30 p.m. Sporting KC and FC Dallas are in contention to finish atop the Frontier Division in both the U-16 and U-18 age groups with a month of the regular season still to play. The Victory Project will host its annual soccer clinic fundraiser on Tuesday, May 9 at Children’s Mercy Park. The clinic runs from 6-7:30 p.m. CT and is open to the first 100 kids aged 6-12 who register at VictoryKC.org. The clinic is $75 per child and all proceeds will go to The Victory Project, the philanthropic arm of Sporting Kansas City that unites players, staff and fans to help children battling cancer.

Sporting KC and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City are teaming up in 2017 to recognize Blue KC Sporting Samaritans, honoring students and teachers who make the Kansas City community a better place to live, work and play. Once a month, a Samaritan will be recognized on the pitch at Children's Mercy Park before a Sporting KC home game. The Samaritan and up to three guests will receive a behind the scenes VIP experience, four tickets to the game, a parking pass and a $50 gift card redeemable for Sporting KC merchandise. Supporters can nominate members of their community to be the next Blue KC Sporting Samaritan at SportingKC.com/bluekc.
